November 21st: Holiday Parade in Berlin

Just north of Green Lake is the quaint little town of Berlin. Every year they throw quite the extravagant holiday parade with themes, prizes, and some of the best floats you’ll ever see. For their 34th annual parade, the theme is Movie Scenes With a Christmas Tree. Classic scenes from movies like National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, You’ve Got Mail, White Christmas, and more will be recreated right before your very eyes. 

 

November 30th: Princeton Holiday Craft Faire

Everyone has that one friend or relative that is almost impossible to find a gift for. You know which one I’m talking about! Don’t wait until the last minute to search for a unique gift for them, head to the Holiday Bounty Craft Fair in Princeton the weekend after Thanksgiving. You’ll find unique vendors showcasing a wide variety of gifts, trinkets, and ornaments that will make the perfect holiday presents. 

 

Thrasher Opera House Concerts:

The Thrasher Opera House is one of the best attractions in Green Lake and the holiday season is a perfect excuse to plan a visit. During the month of December, the Opera House is hosting 3 incredibly unique acts to spread some holiday cheer and brighten the season with music. Pick a show and head in for a merry night, or see all 3 shows to get into the true holiday spirit. 

Barefoot Movement is known as one of the best acoustic string bands around. Their renditions of tender songs like ‘Oh Holy Night’ will send goosebumps down your spine and their more upbeat songs like ‘It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas’ will warm your heart. Listen to this award-winning and nationally recognized group and you’ll be humming along all night. 

 

Dance along to the best holiday songs of the ’50s and ’60s from America’s Premier Doo-Wop Group. This colorful acapella group has enough energy to keep the audience up and dancing all night long. A mix of musical talent and spontaneous humor will leave you toe-tapping one minute and laughing out of your seat the next.

December 7th: Christmas Comedy Show

The holiday season is a time for cheer and you won’t find a funnier holiday event than the Fish Sticks Christmas Improv Comedy Show. On December 7th, head to the Green Lake Conference Center for one of their two showings and be prepared to laugh until your sides hurt. The first set takes place at noon and offers a lunch buffet, but if you can’t make that time you can sign up for their evening show at 7 PM. Embrace a new tradition with this one-of-a-kind show. 

 

December 13th & 14th: Cody Clauson Trio 

Enjoy a musical holiday tradition with the Cody Clauson Trio. This musically gifted family plays a range of holiday classics from country/western hits to jazzy-blues tunes, to ragtime and gospel. Sing along with some of your favorite holiday hits and discover some new holiday songs that you’ll be humming all the way into January. Enjoy a holiday buffet before the show with roasted turkey, honey glazed ham, creamy mashed potatoes, holiday desserts, and everything in between.
